Instructions

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart in an athletic position.
  2. Lower into a quarter squat while winding your arms and torso slightly.
  3. Explosively jump straight up while initiating a full 360-degree rotation.
  4. Use your arms and core powerfully to generate rotational momentum.
  5. Spot your landing by looking for your starting reference point.
  6. Land softly facing the same direction you started, immediately preparing for the next rep.

Tips

  • Generate maximum upward force before starting the rotation
  • Keep your body tight and compact during the spin
  • Use your arms aggressively to create rotational power
  • Focus on a reference point to help with spatial orientation

Common mistakes

  • Starting the rotation too early without adequate jump height
  • Not generating enough rotational momentum to complete the turn
  • Landing before completing the full 360-degree rotation

Safety

This is a very advanced exercise that can cause significant dizziness and disorientation. Not recommended for those with balance disorders, inner ear problems, or knee injuries. Master 180-degree jumps before progressing.

Variations

  • 180 degree jumps
  • 270 degree jumps
